SPIRE Camps: Swimming Extended Training
SPIRE Academy’s Swimming Extended Training offers swimmers an immersive and comprehensive experience designed to elevate their performance in the pool. This program includes daily, high-intensity swim sessions led by SPIRE’s elite coaching staff, tailored to each swimmer’s skill level and goals. Participants also undergo swim-specific assessments and engage in Performance Training aimed at optimizing strength, speed, and endurance both in and out of the water.
Skill Progression Plan:
Weeks 1-2: Foundations & Technical Reinforcement with focus on baseline assessments, technical fundamentals, and movement quality. Specific skills include stroke efficiency, breathing patterns, starts & turns fundamentals.
In addition to the rigorous training schedule, swimmers will enjoy a variety of fun and interactive activities that encourage team bonding and relaxation. The program also features off-site excursions to explore local culture and attractions, creating a balanced experience that combines athletic development with personal enrichment. By the end of this extended camp, swimmers will have improved their technique, formed new friendships, and gained memories to last a lifetime.
Swimmers must have completed 5 competitions or be proficient in the 4 competitive swim strokes.
It is recommended swimmers bring their own fins for training. Kickboards and buoys can be provided by SPIRE.
